Welcome to HRd Bristol. HRd Bristol was established in 2005 when colleagues Lisa and Sandra decided to join forces and form a consultancy that would enable them to fulfil their passion for developing people.
 


Together we have over 60 years’ experience of developing people through coaching and facilitation of learning which includes the provision of high quality ILM courses. During this time we have supported hundreds of people in leadership roles to develop. Over the last year or so we have decided to follow our passion and energy and shift our focus to concentrate on coaching.

As Level 7 qualified Executive Coaches, we provide much valued genuine and honest conversations for leaders and managers who wish to move forward in achieving their goals.

We are also the coordinators for the Bristol & Bath branch of the EMCC.

Sandra Keith portrait

SANDRA KEITH

Sandra has over 30 years’ experience as an executive coach, working with managers and leaders. She is known for quickly building rapport with her clients and establishing effective working relationships. She uses questions to help her clients unpack their thoughts so that they can identify new ways of moving forward. She uses her experience of leadership development to help her clients work towards their coaching goals.

Coaching Style

Sandra’s style can vary from nurturing and supportive to challenging and directive, depending on the needs of the client and the situation. Integral to Sandra’s approach is the coaching contract that she agrees with the client. Part of this includes agreement of confidentiality and boundaries.

Lisa Hegan portrait

LISA HEGAN

Lisa has over 30 years experience as an executive coach, her focus is on developing leadership capabilities and enabling individuals to achieve their full potential, whether through organisational or individual change.

Lisa delivers challenge and support in equal measure through high levels of insight and empathy. Her strength is in her ability to listen actively to her coaching clients in a supportive and non-judgmental way. She uses powerful and insightful questions to enable coaching clients to open up new horizons and unleash personal and business potential.

Coaching Style

Lisa is known for her supportive coaching style enabling clients to focus on their development and achievement of long and short-term goals. She is able to see the bigger picture and uses this to inspire curiosity in clients, encouraging self-discovery. Lisa coaches through one to one sessions, first meeting with the potential coaching client to establish rapport and agree ways of working.

Our Community and Social Impact

We are committed to using our skills in the wider community. We are coordinators for the Bristol and Bath branch of the EMCC and we both volunteer for charitable organisations, which includes mentoring schemes, group coaching and the facilitation of young people’s groups.

Coaching

We provide Executive, Leadership and Management Coaching. We are professionally qualified coaches and we are the Coordinators of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council Bristol & Bath Group.

We are happy to facilitate the continuing development of coaches by delivering top-up training for groups of internal coaches as well as for individuals. more >

University of Bath

We are on Bath’s list of external coaches and have coached a number of managers to achieve their goals. Our relationship with Bath goes back to 2012 when we first started supporting them to develop their line management capability.

UWE

We have worked with UWE since 2005 working closely with the Staff Learning & Development Centre to develop people management capabilities. Since 2016 we have been on UWE’s list of external coaches and have supported a number of managers from Professional Services and Academic Services in their development via coaching conversations and 360 degree feedback.

TLT

We worked with TLT to deliver part of their Partner Development Programme which focussed on building personal effectiveness and resilience. This included providing individual feedback to each of the partners, based on their completion of the MTQ 48 Mental Toughness questionnaire. A series of development days were then held which supported the partners in focusing upon their resilience as individuals and teams. The workshops provided valuable time for the partners to reflect and plan ways forward.

University of Bristol

We have worked with various departments of the University of Bristol since 2011 when we were asked to develop and deliver a bespoke programme for IT Services Managers. During the last 6 years, we have had the pleasure of training a number of staff from various departments in the ILM Level 3 and 5 Coaching qualifications. In addition we provide ad hoc coaching on a one-to-one basis.
