ARAG plc

We have worked with ARAG since 2012 during which time we have developed a good knowledge and understanding of the leadership and management competencies needed in their niche market and have develop a range of learning and development interventions.

This includes the ILM 3 Award in Leadership and Management. We regularly review the units to reflect the changing needs of first line managers and the course material is continuously developed with the particular demands of the business in mind.

We regularly deliver CPD Workshops which supports managers to continue their journey from first line management in to more senior roles. These include Recruitment and Selection training, Coaching Fundamentals, Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution.

We provide coaching sessions to the ARAG Management Team. The content of these are coachee led and can range from how to best approach a management conundrum to personal development objectives.

ATS

We were approached by ATS in 2015 to provide an ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership & Management for members of their Executive and Senior team. Our relationship has since continued and we have provided further ILM courses at levels 3 and 5. We have also run team events across the company and supported them in developing their team effectiveness and team communications. Our involvement has supported ATS to develop and implement strategic management techniques and encourage an approach of dispersed leadership within their organisation

Cedar Care Homes

We were asked by Cedar Care to provide an ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for their Care Home Managers. We designed a programme which was tailored to their specific environment and challenges. The programme ran over 18 months and covered a wide range of learning.

Fossil

We worked in close partnership with Fossil UK in developing and delivering elements of the Fossil UK Training Academy programme. This programme challenged individuals to take ownership of their development and to “Ignite Passion. Drive Change. Unlock Superpowers”. We had great fun working with the team at Fossil who approach their development with huge energy, a great sense of fun and a commitment to being the best in all that they do.

Gingersnap Models

We were approached by Gingersnap in 2015 to provide HR advice and support. This has included re-writing contractual terms and conditions, writing policies and procedures and providing an ad hoc HR service.

As a non-executive director of this business, Sandra has been offering her HR expertise since 2011. This has included updating contractual terms and conditions, writing policies and procedures and running training courses for general staff, supervisors and line managers. She also provides ad hoc advice and support regarding HR issues such as disciplinaries, grievances and absence.

TLT

We worked with TLT to deliver part of their Partner Development Programme which focussed on building personal effectiveness and resilience. This included providing individual feedback to each of the partners, based on their completion of the MTQ 48 Mental Toughness questionnaire. A series of development days were then held which supported the partners in focusing upon their resilience as individuals and teams. The workshops provided valuable time for the partners to reflect and plan ways forward.

UCL

We were approached by UCL to design and deliver a bespoke development programme for aspiring managers within the Estates Department. Following on from the success of this, we are now delivering the programme on a University wide basis. The programme spans 4 days, delivered in two ‘chunks’ and includes work to be done in between – to help deepen the learning experience.

University of Bath

We have worked closely with Bath since 2012 developing and delivering a range of management courses. We have also worked with Faculties and Departments to develop bespoke development programmes and team interventions. In addition we are on Bath’s list of external coaches and have coached a number of managers to achieve their goals. 

Our regular courses include:

The Step Up to Management Programme which is delivered in three ½ day sessions over a three-week period and is designed to to build knowledge, skills and confidence for aspiring managers.

The Managing People and Teams course which consists of two 1 day workshops and is aimed at those with experience of leading teams. The course focusses on the next level of leadership skills and knowledge including leadership of change, conflict resolution, coaching and the development of high performing teams.

The Staff Performance and Development Review Training which is delivered in ½ a day. We have designed one for line managers (as the Reviewer) and one for staff (as the Reviewee).

University of Bristol

Following a major restructuring of the IT Services Department, we worked closely with the department training manager to develop a bespoke programme of development for managers and aspiring managers. This programme spanned a year and integrated their own in-house training courses with our externally provided ILM certificated course.

University of Exeter

We have been working with the Staff Learning and Development team since 2011 developing and delivering the leadership and management programmes. These programmes provide development opportunity for the full range of leadership experience and potential from those yet to assume a management role to those on the brink of moving in to a more Senior role.

These programmes can lead to the following ILM qualifications:

  • Level 2 Award and Certificate in Leadership and Team Skills
  • Level 3 Award and Certificate in Leadership and Management
  • Level 5 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Leadership and Management

University of Gloucestershire

We were invited to tender to design and deliver Interviewing Skills Training for the University. We have worked closely with the HR and Equality & Diversity departments to develop a bespoke one day programme which closely matches their recruitment policies and procedures and is line with the culture and values. This course is delivered regularly throughout the year.

University of the West of England

We have worked with UWE since 2005 where we deliver their ILM Level 2 Award in Leadership & Team Skills. We work closely with the Staff Learning & Development Centre to review the choice of units delivered and ensure that the content is in line with UWE’s ley policies and values. This course runs monthly during a 6 month period and aims to support aspiring and newly appointed team leaders.

We have also designed and delivered various courses that have run on a regular basis, including a Customer Care course which is now delivered every other month.

We have also worked with faculties and departments to design and deliver programmes to support their team development.

Since 2016 we have been on UWE’s list of external coaches and have supported a number of managers from Professional Services and Academic Services in their development via coaching conversations and 360 degree feedback.
